A course in de-escalation, designed to enhance the ability of an individual who desires to prevent and protect themselves or others from a violent encounter. Although it is not a guarantee that de-escalation will prevent violence. It is the second step (situational awareness being the first) in being able to give a person the confidence and ability in having a professional approach to respond appropriately. This is a proactive and reactive course designed to help individuals adapt to situations that require verbal and non verbal de-escalation as an option.

Taylor has been a police officer for 7 years and currently works as a patrol officer for a large agency in the Pittsburgh region. He has completed numerous de-escalation courses, and applies this concept nearly everyday in his job as a police officer. He also served as a director of security for a church in the Pittsburgh suburbs for nearly 7 years. Currently, he is helping build a security team for a church north of Pittsburgh. He is also a proud husband, and father of two. He loves fitness, mountain biking, spending time with family, going to range, and seeks out training to become a better officer and security volunteer.
