This course introduces you to the use of a flashlight (handheld or weapon mounted) in conjunction with a pistol. Many auditoriums and obscure areas are dimly lit or have no lighting at all, and require the use of a flashlight for navigation and identification. Being able to use your light successfully with your pistol is a skill that needs to be learned and trained. This course will cover firearm safety, safe weapon manipulation, handheld vs weapon mounted lights, safe activation of weapon mounted lights, light discipline, use of cover, and much more.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

-Pistol

-200 rounds

-KYDEX or hard plastic holster (no leather holsters and no index finger manipulated retention devices)

-Handheld and/or Weapon Mounted flashlight

-Headlamp w/ head strap and must have red light only capability

-Hearing and eye protection

-Baseball or brimmed hat

-Weather appropriate clothing

-Food & hydration (will be a working dinner break)
